Your files stay on your Mac
TidyZip is a local macOS ZIP utility. The app does not collect or transmit your files, passwords, personal information, usage data or device identifiers to the developer. No account is required.
Files and permissions
TidyZip accesses files and folders you select or drop into the app and the destination you choose. It reads source files to create a ZIP and leaves the originals unchanged. It excludes known macOS service entries from the ZIP; it does not remove personal information embedded in documents or photos. Archive verification reads data in memory without extracting files to disk.
Passwords and local storage
Passwords are used only for the current creation or verification operation. TidyZip does not save passwords to preferences, Keychain, logs or a server. Language and security preferences are stored locally. Created ZIP files remain at the destination you choose. Temporary archive files are removed after normal completion or cancellation; an unexpected system interruption may leave temporary files.
Your choices and deletion
You control where archives are saved and may delete them in Finder. TidyZip has no server-side account or file store to delete. You may reset local app preferences or remove the app. The app does not keep a persistent history of your selected files. Contact us to request deletion of information you have voluntarily sent by email.
Contact and support
For privacy questions, contact the TidyZip developer at forall@tuta.com. If you email us, your email address and message are processed to respond to your request. Email is handled by the email service provider and is kept only as long as needed to resolve the request and meet applicable obligations. Do not send archive passwords or confidential files.
Changes to this policy
This policy applies to TidyZip 1.0. Last updated: 25 September 2026. We will update this policy if the app’s data practices change. The date above identifies the current version.
This website
The TidyZip website is hosted by Vercel. It uses no analytics scripts, advertising cookies, tracking pixels, external fonts or sign-up forms. Vercel processes technical request data, such as IP addresses and browser information, to serve and secure the site. This hosting activity is separate from the offline macOS app. Our static pages do not set cookies or local storage.
